I don't often get to do a piece of work that's as much pure design, with very few upfront constraints on the concept, as this poster for the Historyonics theatre group's play about Katherine Dunham. I sent several possible layouts to my friend Kory Miller, who was on the board, and she picked this one to print. We ran off several on my large-format printer and the organization hung them around the venue and around town.
